Lord John Hutton
Chair, Association of Infrastructure Investors in PPPs (AIIP)
Lord Hutton is an experienced politician with extensive service across business and industry. Lord Hutton served as a minister from 1998 – 2009, six of those years in the Department of Health, and the last four years at the Cabinet table as Secretary of State of three departments: (i) Ministry of Defence, (ii) Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform and (iii) Department for Work and Pensions.
Following his retirement from the Commons, Lord Hutton became a Labour peer in the House of Lords in 2010.
Lord Hutton will be supporting the AIIP with its activities including collaboration and engagement with the key public sector stakeholders including UK Government, Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA) and sponsoring government departments on important industry issues.
