Derek Sharkey

Derek has worked in the PFI/PPP market for 25 years, in various roles, from bid director and public sector technical advisor to lender’s technical advisor, development director and chief executive.  

Having spent 20 years at two global corporate organisations, he has worked in various senior positions in different guises of bidding, strategy, growth, and project oversight. His experience covers many forms of PPP, including, PFI, BSF, LIFT, PF2, hub, NPD and MIM, as well as in international PPP markets such as Ireland and the Middle East.

Now Managing Director of Strategic Growth at Vercity, who manage over £30bn of infrastructure assets across the UK and Canada, as well as providing a broad range of professional services across both the private and public sector.
